As suspected, Kris Allen did a morning press junket today to promote his album release with a bunch of Fox affiliates, including Detroit, Seattle, Minnesota, Nashville, Baltimore, Salt Lake City, Charlotte, Grand Rapids, Phoenix, Atlanta and New York. I will post videos or links throughout the day as they get uncovered. Here's the first one, from Detroit:

Thank you, you're awesome!
I was going to say the same thing. Love WCConvo........
I love this web site.
I'm getting kind of upset because Kris's CD is getting lukewarm reviews. I just read a pan in the LA Times. I hope Kris's fans show up to buy the album because Kris needs our support.
Thanks for the comments, everyone! I still haven't watched all those videos yet. LOL. So many.
gabrieloak, I think Kris' sales are going to surprise people. Yeah, the LA Times review was bad, but no CD review would ever convince me not to buy something. It's all a matter of personal taste (or leftover bitterness over a stupid reality competition that ended a long time ago). If I was on the fence about a CD, I'd stop and listen to tracks first before deciding whether or not to buy. Similarly, no 4-star endorsement is going to make me want to purchase music if I don't like that type of music.
I hope your right about the so-so reviews and that fans will still respond to his music anyway. I'm hoping that once the album gets some play and Kris starts doing concerts (hopefully not in arenas) his career will take off. He's still young and has plenty of time to grow.
I watched all the interviews and was surprised how poorly prepared some of the hosts were, while others obviously thought about what they were going to ask before going on air. Thanks again for posting these.
I thought there was another article by LA Times choosing his album over John Mayer's? Anyway, I think critics' reviews should be taken with a pinch of salt. After all, music is very subjective and I buy based on what I like, not because of other people's opinions. This album is a very solid debut that caters to diverse tastes and extremely radio-friendly. It will defintely do well.
