Out Magazine published a really lengthy Adam Lambert two-part Q&A on their website. It's a really interesting read. Adam talks at length about a variety of issues, including addressing his sexuality (or not) on Idol, the weighty expectations on him, what his type is, his "crush" on Kris Allen, his relationships with the more religious Michael Sarver and Danny Gokey, sex with women, drugs, people having no boundaries, his relationship with his boyfriend (this was done well before their breakup), and more.
It's quite sad to read Adam talking about his relationship with Drake in hindsight, but it sounds like Adam knew it might not work out. Or had a doomsday scenario. Check this part out: "The other thing that’s really hard is that you have to decide whether or not you have the focus and the energy to give to the other person. That’s a difficult thing, too. And who knows what the future could hold with that. I might have to say, 'You know, this is how much I love you, that I have to let you go. I can’t give you what you deserve right now, so this isn’t going to work.' Hopefully it works. I want it to. But we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Out of the love I have for him, I don’t want to neglect it."

And then things got REALLY interesting. The editor of Out, Aaron Hicklin, wrote a scathing letter discussing how Adam's management handled Adam's appearance in the magazine. According to Hicklin, the magazine was told to make sure Adam didn't look "too gay", and that the only reason management let him be photographed for the cover is because there's a straight woman in the group shot. Hicklin also slammed Adam a little for his Details magazine cover story, writing, "Much easier to stick you in Details, where your homosexuality can be neutralized by having you...saying, 'Women are pretty.' So are kittens, Adam, but it doesn't mean you have to make out with them."
I'm not sure what to make of this whole thing. If they are trying to stifle his gay, that's really messed up. But at the same time, Adam has talked about making out with women in what - 3 magazines now? It's really starting to come across as pandering to the Glamberts/record-buying audience to me, and that kind of bugs me.
