On Portland Idol Tour Interviews

And more interviews of the Idols, courtesy On Portland and its YouTube page.

Anoop Desai fanboys over an embarrassed Kris Allen, who trots out the "you jerk" line that he used on Danny on Larry King Live. And thanks to the gun show Kris displayed in the interview, I can't really remember much else of what he said outside of playing with Slash and how he "sucked" next to him and felt like a little kid who just picked up a guitar for the first time.

Scott MacIntyre and Allison Iraheta talk about what they've been doing since the show. Scott says he had a lot of interest from major publishers and their label counterparts, and Allison says she has already started recording and writing. She says they're almost done. They also talk about Scott's dancing (Allison calls him a "killer dancer") and Allison's braces.

Matt Giraud and Megan Joy have a bit of an awkward interview when the interviewer starts out with asking her about her name change from Megan Corkrey to Megan Joy (she was in the middle of a divorce). Megan didn't seem to want to talk too much about it, but the interviewer kept asking questions related to it. Aghh, poor girl! Later on, though, we get some caw caws out of her and Matt, and they each reveal one song they really wanted to sing on the show but couldn't get cleared. Matt's was "Have A Little Faith In Me" by John Hiatt (LOVE!), and Megan's was "On and On" by Erykah Badu

Lil Rounds and Adam Lambert talk about working on their albums. Lil seems pretty confident that she'll be making one. Adam says he'll continue to write and record while they're on tour and that he hopes to get it out by November.

And Danny Gokey and Michael Sarver talk about what they've been doing. Danny talks about his foundation, and Sarver says that what they do now is up to themselves, and that if you fail, it's because you quit since Idol is such a big launching pad. Danny says the two labels he's met with called 19 because they wanted him. When asked what the one song they wanted to do on Idol was, Sarver says he wished he had been able to do one he's written.
