Idol Tour Spoilers

The opening show on the American Idol Tour starts in less than 12 hours, but if you can't wait to see what the Idols are singing, here is a list that was culled together from some fan reports at Idol Forums and someone's Twitter. These fans were waiting outside the arena yesterday and were invited inside to listen to the full dress rehearsal. This is what was reported as the setlist:

There will be lots of Idol coverage from the show's opening night.

USA Today's Brian Mansfield has already started blogging after conducting a few interviews yesterday. He talked to Danny about his meetings with Sony Nashville and Word Entertainment. Word CEO Mark Bright, who has produced Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts, wants Danny to go to his Christian label, but Danny doesn't want to exclude anyone with his music.

Mansfield also talked to Sarver and Matt about an impromptu piano/singing session at the hotel lobby and how they were worried about someone taping it. Matt also talked about hosting and judging an online singing competition called YOBISing and how he picked his bunk on the tour bus.

There are also tidbits with Anoop, who has been sick, and Megan about her exercise regime. And Adam discusses his tattoo, and he and Allison talk hair colors.

Richard Rushfield of the LA Times is in Portland as well and wrote about some, ahem, enthusiastic fans who have successfully figured out how to stalk the Idols at their hotel and at the arena.

One of the women told of the particularly impressive depths to which she had gone to get to see her Idols. If she didn't seem so nice, shy and non-terrifying, her tale might be a bit more, well, terrifying. As it is, perhaps it can serve as a cautionary tale to Idol security. This young woman admitted in our conversation that she is staying at the same hotel as the Idols. When asked how that happened, she nods and says that it took a lot of work. "Some of the them haven't been too careful," she says. Apparently since they had been in town, one of the Idols linked on twitter to a video he'd made of a few of them hanging out in one of their hotel rooms. The industrious young fan studied the design elements present in the video - the wallpaper, the room furnishings, and went to various Portland hotel websites, studying pictures of their room until she found a match. After which she promptly checked in.

The Seattle Times is also planning full coverage of the tour both on the website and during the concert via Twitter.

And Rickey.org is planning a live cellcast online at Rickey TV.
